220 students will compete in the field of cognitive sciences

The competition of 220 students from different universities of the country has been initiated. These students will compete in the “Student Competitions of Cognitive Neuroscience and Brain Knowledge”.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, promotion of research activities in the field of cognitive science is one of the actions that develop this new knowledge in society. In this regard, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter has supported various research activities in this field. “Student Competitions of Cognitive Neuroscience and Brain Knowledge” is a promotional event that targets the spread of brain-related knowledge and technology among students of various academic disciplines. This year, the second round of the event will be held with the support of the headquarters.

The opening ceremony of the competition was held in University of Tehran last week. In this round of the competition, 220 students will compete in the form of 40 student teams from different universities of Iran. In the end, three top teams in the field of cognitive sciences will be selected.

The first round of the event was held last year in University of Tehran, and the winners of the first round were awarded on the opening ceremony of the second round of the competition.

In addition, cognitive sciences competitions are held to increase research activities, create a mutual understanding and language of cognitive sciences in educational and academic spaces, discover talents and elites and grow and promote disciplines in the field of cognitive sciences across the country.

Linking research activities from high school to university centers and strengthening culture and the spirit of cooperation in educational centers is one of the policies pursued in the cognitive neuroscience competitions supported by the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter.
