In the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, Aban accelerator is opened with the goal of supporting the commercialization of water and energy startups in Qods Industrial Town.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed during the visit of achievements and interaction with technology activists on industrial towns of the capital: these visits are carried out to identify the needs and concerns of technology and knowledge-based activists in a field form. We have attempted to recognize and eliminate the needs of activists of innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and create a new environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Sattari explained the importance of establishing a place for flourishing of innovation in these businesses, expressing: knowledge-based companies and startups need a suitable environment more than anything, and the barriers to the path of these businesses must be eliminated.

The chairman of Iran national space and advanced transportation administration considered the superiority and efficiency of knowledge-based companies to be depending on innovation in their businesses, asserting: knowledge-based companies can repair 50 engines in a short period and deliver them to airlines, which is considerable and unique. There are many successful knowledge-based and startup companies. The presence of companies in the improvement of the economy of the country is indicative of a new belief toward production and entrepreneurship.

Sattari mentioned the highlighted presence of knowledge-based companies and startups in the economy of the country, stating: selecting a number of managers of knowledge-based companies in current selection of chamber of commerce, industries, and mines of Tehran demonstrated that the economy of the country is changing, and a new generation of entrepreneurs have transformed the economy with innovation, creativity, and self-confidence.

Movement of Water and Energy Startups Will Be Accelerated by “Aban”

The president of the water, drought, erosion, and environment technologies development headquarter also visited the Qods Industrial Town in southern west of Tehran and inaugurated “Aban” accelerator.

This accelerator mainly focuses on hardware startups and provides the necessary infrastructures to be able to enter the startups into the market. In total, 10 startups are based in this accelerator, more than 40% of which accounts for technologists, PhD holders of Sharif University in mechanics and engineering fields.

In addition, Irap startup is taking the first commercialization steps and produces security equipment for pressure vessels.

Production of MMO anodes and disinfection of seawater and drinking water are activities of another startup based in this accelerator, which services petrochemical companies.

Aban Accelerator has the vision of establishment of 12 production knowledge-based companies and 20 new companies, and it has been decided that occupations be prepared for 500 youth and elites of the country. From this path, a total of $690 million currency is saved for the country.

Technological Meeting

The vice president for science and technology affairs talked with activists based in industrial towns by visiting Parand Industrial Town placed in south of Tehran. The technology activists of the knowledge-based companies in the field of electricity and electronics, presented their productions in areas of manufacture of electrical converters and rotary engine controllers to the vice president.

Adish Laser Knowledge-based Co. produces shiny and beautiful metal pieces. In addition, Karma manufactures diagnostic kits and antibiotics. Moreover, Nanoscale Technologists Co. produces industrial and semi-industrial electrospinning devices. Production of dairy starters and probiotic products of livestock and poultry is one of the most important achievements of Maya Zist Farayand. Furthermore, laser welding machines are produced by Laser Engineering-Technical Co. and Parto Pardazesh Mavad of Tehran.

Improvement of Application of Microalgae

Today, the first production line of microalgae, which is used in food industries and livestock and poultry industries, is opened by Azin Gostan Knowledge-based Co.
