TEHRAN – An Iranian knowledge-based company will supply the domestic market with the first three-cylinder euro-6 engine by the end of the current Iranian month (September 22), Sourena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology, told the Tehran Times in an interview on Saturday.

Several technological projects were opened during the provincial trip of the vice president for science and technology affairs to Ilam Province in line with the week of government. The start of several construction projects, the establishment of the province's innovation center and a factory for the production of intelligent equipment were other events of this trip.

The vice president for science and technology affairs, who traveled to Ilam Province in the week of government, emphasized the importance of developing the infrastructures and culture-building in the province to expand knowledge-based economy.

Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, entered Ilam to follow the development of technological activities and creating a suitable space for their work.

The path to the export of knowledge-based companies has been paved with the establishment of the export acceleration center in the country. The center has provided a space for recruiting and supporting export-based ideas to facilitate the development of export of knowledge-based companies.

Bontech Technology Tower was opened as the first technology tower of the private sector in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, Pirouz Hanachi, the mayor of Tehran, Shahrbanoo Amani, a council member of Tehran, and Rasoul Keshtpour, the mayor of district 2, on the third day of week of government.

During the opening ceremony of Bontech Technology Tower, Sattari considered the formation of Sharif Innovation Zone as a new culture that can help urban development and the promotion of public culture in society.

Along with the government week, the pilot project of energy optimization is started in building No. 2 of ministry of labor (Shahid Beheshti Building) with the Support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs. Providing a practical model for increasing the energy efficiency of buildings in the country is the goal of this project.
