Women’s Technology and Innovation Ecosystem Is Developed at an Accelerated Pace
Creative and entrepreneurial women gathered together this morning in Hozeh Honari Andisheh Hall. They shared their experiences in order to pass the path of development and growth of the innovation and technology ecosystem in the field of women at a faster pace. This phenomenon occurred along with holding the event of “sharing experiences of women active in newly established and knowledge-based companies”.
Zeynab Hamidzadeh, the advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs in women’s affairs, talked about the presence of women in the ecosystem of innovation and technology of the country, stating: the ecosystem is being developed at a fast pace and an opportunity is created to re-define the role of women in social activities.
Hamidzadeh continued: 500 knowledge-based companies have been developed with the management of women. In addition, 150 creative companies have been established by women, and large number of startups improve their activities. Nonetheless, the potential of women has not fulfilled in the ecosystem.
She also marked: a look at the graduation rate of women shows that women and men are somehow equal in this regard but men have a higher presence in the field of science and technology and new businesses.
Hamidzadeh added: the reason is that in addition to the social role, women have accepted various other roles that do not balance. We are pathological in this area. On the other hand, women have a lower self-esteem and self-belief.
The advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs in women’s affairs considered the project of empowering creative women as one of the programs of the center to increase women’s activities.
According to the report, creative and entrepreneurial women gathered in Hozeh Honari Andisheh Hall to share their experiences and pave the way for growth of each other. In addition, successful women shared their experiences to motivate others to be active in the ecosystem.
