In line with the development of ecosystem of innovation and promotion of position of intellectual properties system, the Vice-Presidency has aimed to hold a specialized meeting entitled “commercialization of inventions of universities, science and technology parks and startups” with the cooperation of intellectual properties center during April 14^th-15^th, 2019.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Hesam Zand Hesami, general manager of the technology commercialization office, expressed the importance of position of the intellectual properties system, asserting: the second round of the seminar will be held in the presence of professors and representatives of the federal institute of Swiss at the location of the Vice-Presidency.

He added: a memorandum of understanding will be signed based on the actual needs of the ecosystem of innovation and intellectual properties system between the federal institute of Swiss and the intellectual properties office in order to improve this system in the country.

General manager of the technology commercialization office also mentioned: on the first round of the event, we will discuss concepts such as intellectual properties and startups, commercialization of inventions, improving the condition for technology transfer, methods of supporting startups by Swiss government and methods of using intellectual properties by startups.

He also conveyed: in both the first and the second rounds of the seminar, innovation centers, science and technology parks, and universities that are considered as specialized units in the field of innovation and technology will be present.
