According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells science and technology development headquarter, stated on the meeting for initiation of the architectural operation of cell city project: when the project of cell city was started, I never thought it would be welcomed at this level. Despite the first stages of this project, many investors and technologists of similar projects have proposed the same project from different parts of the country. In addition, Iranian investors from other countries, such as Netherlands and Portugal, have invested in this project due to its promising future.

According to the secretary of stem cells science and technology development headquarter, the main objective of the cell city is manufacturing of products, which facilitates the moving toward third and fourth generation universities. This idea was first introduced by Kharazmi University.

He pointed out the efforts in fast progression of the cell city project, affirming: we have aimed to provide services for active knowledge-based companies to inaugurate the cell city.

After that, Sobhan Elahi regarded the support of production of science and technology as one of the major priorities of Kharazmi University, asserting: we need to use all experts in area of stem cell science and technology in order to establish the project. He also emphasized the necessity of supplying the essential infrastructures for operationalization of the project.

Amirkhani pointed out the importance of development of new technologies in the country and announced the preparedness of Persis Gen accelerator to establish the project and initiate the construction operation.

The cell city will be established to centralize the accelerators, growth centers, knowledge-based companies and technology units in areas of stem cells, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. In addition, all components of this city will be used at the management, science and technology levels in line with the realization of goals and perspective based on the science and technology development document of stem cells in the country.

The meeting for inauguration of technical and construction operations of cell city was held January 30^th 2018 in the presence of Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells science and technology development headquarter, Mohammad Ali Sobhanallahi, chairman of Kharazmi University, CEO of Paya Mashin Saze Sepanta Co., CEO of Persis Gene Co., and a number of authorities.
