The vice president for science and technology affairs stated: knowledge-based companies and startups created values for our economy and employment rate last year. In this regard and through emphasizing the second step of the revolution expressed by the Supreme Leader, the role of this ecosystem has increased in the economy and occupation of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, met with Hojatoleslam Habibollah Shabani, the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Friday Imam of Hamedan, accompanied by the governor of the province. In this meeting, Sattari presented a report on the achievements of the Vice-Presidency in the field of knowledge-based companies and youth and startup ecosystem.

The president of the knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter talked about three main missions of the caravan of science and technology in this year, adding: this year, three topics have been prioritized by the Vice-Presidency, including the development of the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, empowerment of knowledge-based companies, and supply of sanctioned goods with regard to the current condition of the country and improvement of capacities of these businesses.

Sattari emphasized the development of knowledge-based economy from universities, asserting: the third program that must be followed up is related to universities and research centers. The main mission of universities is training human resources, and the society can feel the favorable effect of universities by witnessing the innovations of creative academic entrepreneurs. In this regard, a new model is implemented in universities, favorable results of which will be soon witnessed.

The vice president for science and technology affairs stated: we have a great and suitable condition in terms of science production and startup establishment. While we are far from the ideal stage, the important phenomenon in this area is correcting the attitude of society members toward their valuable assets, which is human resources and concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. 

Role of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs in Recognition and Use of Provincial Capacities Is Strategic

In another part of the meeting, the representative of the supreme leader in Hamedan claimed: great resources exist in this province. In addition, we have proper capacities in terms of university environment and research area, application of which is significantly important. Regarding human resources, Hamedan Province is very rich, and the Vice-Presidency can play a strategic and important role in the recognition and use of this valuable asset.

Hojatoleslam Shabani regarded agricultural products with the export capacity another opportunity of the province, adding: increased level of knowledge, creativity and technology is a necessity for flourishing of production in the province. The fact that the Vice-Presidency uses these technologies is an honor, and we must benefit from valuable capacities with the help of the people.
