According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, vice president for science and technology affairs, visited the knowledge-based companies and technology units of Khorasan Science and Technology Park and expressed that improvement of knowledge-based economy is mostly initiated from science and technology parks, expressing: approaches of investors is leaning towards creating a knowledge-based economy, for which the most important foundation is science and technology parks of provinces.

The vice president for science and technology emphasized the importance of the sixth program for development of knowledge-based companies, affirming: in this program, better measures are taken, compared to the previous programs. Therefore, we should move toward the creation of an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation and support the knowledge-based companies.

Sattari indicated that the vice presidency for science and technology affairs has attempted to provide an appropriate environment for the formation of such ecosystem in our community, affirming: creation of this ecosystem is not possible by just a government budget and we will not witness the flourishing of this economy through public investment. Therefore, the private sector should also support this area.

Vice-Chairman of Innovation and Development Fund Board of Trustees pointed out the importance of supporting knowledge-based companies in the form of bank guarantees, expressing: Innovation and Development Fund Board of Trustees of provinces have required fundamentals for providing bank guarantees for knowledge-based companies.

Hassan Alamolhodaei, head of Khorasan Provinces Science and Technology Park, discussed the purposes of building Shahid Sattari knowledge-based institutions at the science and technology park, stating:

This building is mostly established for providing work places, Arend offices and knowledge-based companies, which do not require pilot areas, such as ICC, IT, cultural pilgrimage and international communications companies. It is hoped that we will be able to gradually locate these companies from January 20th.

It was also mentioned that there are more than 141 active knowledge-based companies in Khorasan Razavi province, the majority of which are affiliated with the science and technology park. A few of these companies are located at science and technology parks and some of them are at industrial sites. These companies have been able to improve the industries of oil, gas, petrochemical and pharmaceutical activities, solve national problems and work at an international level.
