Chairman of Iran national space administration announced that with regard to the current needs of the country, development of research satellites in the country is an undeniable necessity.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space administration, talked about the needs in the area of spatial exploitation of the country, stating: in this regard, there must be a greater focus on research satellites since no significant improvement has been observed in this field.

He added: to develop this area, we can use the global experiences and domestic abilities. According to Manteghi, lack of sufficient attention to development programs for special technologies in the national economy and small role of the private sector in special activities are among other problems of the field.

He continued: lack of separation of policy-making, implementing, monitoring and developing duties in spatial organizations with various platforms and similar missions and applications are other required measures in the coordination section.
