The conference of inauguration of project of student biotechnology pioneering centers was held in the presence of education authorities and managers of the biotechnology development headquarter and officials of research centers and selected schools of Tehran.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the project of student biotechnology pioneering centers is the result of interactions between the ministry of education, promotional organizations and the biotechnology development headquarter for education and promotion of biotechnology among students, especially primary school.

This project is simultaneously operated in eight other provinces, including East Azerbaijan, Yazd, Khuzestan, Fars, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Lorestan and Isfahan in the academic year of 2017-2018.

Sarvari, manager of the human resource, education and development group of biotechnology development headquarter, pointed out the importance of biotechnology and its status in the country and mentioned the importance of this project as a solution for contributing to biotechnology and creating scientific discourse among students.

On the other hand, Mohammad Ali Dashtipour, manager of the research center of Tehran, expressed the applications of biotechnology and the relevant scientific advances in the world, affirming: the powerful presence of the research center of Tehran in this area is essential.

Ebrahim Rafiei, secondary deputy of the general office of Tehran, expressed his content with the established interactions between the biotechnology development headquarter and the ministry of education, asserting: performing such projects will lead to promotion of students and flourishing of their creativity in this area.
