According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the national brain-mapping laboratory of the country was inaugurated August 2017 with the slogan of “convergent development in knowledge and technology of brain mapping” and goal of growth and development of knowledge and technology of brain mapping. This event was performed five years after receiving the approval document for development of cognitive sciences and technologies by the higher council of cultural revolution, making the government obliged to support the establishment of national brain-mapping laboratory to perform cognitive science studies.

Holding the First Brain-mapping Symposium of Iran

The first symposium of brain-mapping was held in Iran with the title of ISBM2017 during September 24^th-25^th, 2017. This symposium hosted 30 prominent professors of the field from across the country. About 15 top lecturers from top research centers and universities inside and outside the university, presenting 45-minute lectures on their latest studies.

Holding conferences in the Presence of Experts of the Country

The national brain-mapping laboratory was present in 16 conferences in Tehran and other cities to promote related activities and better introduce the laboratory. In addition, about 20 specialized lectures were performed in various conferences to promote cognitive sciences in various events in the presence of the professors of laboratory.

Establishment of a Management Unit for Customer Relationship

The national brain-mapping laboratory established its customer relationship unit in 2017 in order to identify and attract experts and researchers of various fields to better present research services.

Conclusion of 15 Cooperation Agreement

In 2017, the laboratory was inaugurated to evaluate the health status of referred individuals, including the evaluation of healthy individuals and patients, who were physically, mentally, socially and emotionally considered. The national brain-mapping laboratory has concluded 15 cooperation contracts with domestic academic centers and Vienna Medical University and Australia to create an opportunity for extensive and efficient cooperation between professors and researchers.
