Pointing out that the actual mines of Iran are its entrepreneurial youth and elites, Sattari emphasized: selling raw oil and mines will not solve our problems. In fact, knowledge and science are our solution to create value added.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, attended the administrative council meeting for development of knowledge-based economy and flourishing of production in Semnan province, which was also attended by the governor and higher authorities of the province.

On the meeting, Sattari regarded human resources as the most important area of development, adding: we must pay more attention to our human resources, where the private sector plays an important role. While the main duty of the Vice-Presidency is preparing the infrastructural areas, the proper foundation must be laid for the entrepreneurial youth and the private sector.

The president of the national elites foundation mentioned serving knowledge-based companies, asserting: the Supreme Leader accepted this plan easily and with kindness. A few countries have leaders who support their elites this way. Nonetheless, we see that elites are not welcomed by some managers in some of the provinces, which is not acceptable.

Sattari considered the measures taken in this field to be considerable, expressing: our country has the largest startups in the fields of “stem cells” and “ICT”. In fact, a generation has entered the field that can end the traditional economy by endeavor and a new attitude.

According to Sattari, supplying 97% of drug needs in the country is one of the successes in this area.

The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter announced the presence of some negotiators from activists of the private sector, declaring: knowledge-based companies can be more successful in the area of export if they use the advice of these negotiators.

Regarding the attitude of provinces toward the development of technology, the president for the national elites foundation added: development that comes from the domestic area of the province and is based on the capacity of the boom in the area, will be successful otherwise it will not get anywhere.

The vice president for science and technology affairs considered the low number of innovation funds in the province as a weakness.

Signing Two Agreements to Develop Innovation and Technology Ecosystem in Semnan

At the end of the ceremony, an agreement was signed between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and governorate of Semnan. The agreement, which was signed by Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Alireza Ashnagar, the governor of Semnan, emphasized the necessity of support of establishing startups, accelerators, and innovation centers and factories in worn-out textures.

In addition, another agreement was signed between the Vice-Presidency, governorate of Semnan, science and technology park of Semnan, and chamber of commerce and industry, mines and agriculture of Semnan to support the development of innovation and technology centers in Semnan.

Sorena Sattari visited the science and technology park of Semnan before attending the administrative meeting.

In total, 20 knowledge-based companies presented their products in Shahid Pazuki Conference Hall in the form of an exhibition. The vice president for science and technology affairs also met with creative youth and carried out measures to accelerator reaching their goals.
