Pointing out that the food industry is one of the drivers of the economic development of any country, he said: We have new special support programs to develop the activities of such companies. Based on the approach of formation of consortia, we are trying to make at least 20 to 100 large industrial companies of the country become the driving force of the flow of knowledge-based economy. By connecting to these industries, the knowledge bases determine the evolution of the value chain, job creation and high profitability.

Dehghani said: Paying attention to large and powerful companies that extend their support umbrella over knowledge-based and technological companies is one of the serious programs of the Vice-Presidency of Science. We are trying to become the basis for the prosperity of these businesses and the completion of the value chain in various industries by supporting large and prominent companies.

Zar Industrial and Research Group is one of the knowledge-based groups active in the food industry, which has been able to provide a platform for the production of new and competitive products by using local technology and human expertise, and supply the needs of other related industries.

Near 7000 companies in the country operate with the products of Ghallat Zar Refinery and the products of this company are used in more than one hundred types of food products.

In the gold grain refinery, the components of corn are separated and used in the form of different products.

Golden Grain Refinery has been able to produce more than 50 types of knowledge-based products and has been able to supply the products needed for ten other types of knowledge-based products.

Dehghani, while visiting Zar Grain Refinery, visited the companies located in this complex, such as Zarnam and Zarcom, and the development pilot of this complex.
