A knowledge-based company was able to create load cell with a capacity of three thousand tons for the first time in the country

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs quoted by the news headquarter of “Iran Sakht” fair, many steel products were once imported from overseas due to the low cost of machinery and parts. However, the beginning of the sanctions and restrictions imposed led the local craftsmen make these parts with more costs, but that was not the end. The Iranian creative and tech-savvy young people took to the field and played a key role in the knowledge-based economy by localizing products.

Production with One-third of the Cost of Foreign Counterparts

Kavoshgaran Zendeh Rood is one of the companies that has been able to use the knowledge of domestic experts to localize products. Mohsen Farvardin, one of the managers of this company, expressed that exchange rate fluctuations and boycotts of some strategic commodities in the industry have made importers more productive, and large industrial customers have put the domestic manufacturers on the list again. The major steel and steel industries, as one of the main industrial locomotive wagons in the country, require a wide range of machinery and parts to be fully imported from overseas in the years to come.

The mentioned company is one of the knowledge-based corporations established in research town of Isfahan, which initiated supplying needs in this area since its establishment. Farvardin pointed out that considering the sanctions, some of the pieces such as high-tonnage load cell are on the list of sanctioned goods. Therefore, the young experts of the company designed and improved the existing samples, and were able to produce load cell with a capacity of three thousand tons for the first time in the country. This product can be used in the process of metal production. He declares that the foreign counterpart of the product is worth more than one billion tomans, and the company has been able to produce it with 400 million tomans with the same level of quality. Isfahan Zob Ahan, Khuzestan Steel, and Gilan Steel are some of the industrial centers that can use this product and have finalized contracts with the mentioned knowledge-based company.

He also talked about the opportunities created due to sanctions, asserting: after sanctions and increased price of foreign products, their import lost its economic justification, and an opportunity was made for knowledge-based companies to localize the production of machineries and pieces.

Farvardin also marked: if the authorities are able to motivate large industrial customers to pay their debts to knowledge-based companies by deploying proper policies, this issue can greatly help our performance.
