We can rely on science and technology centers to deal with sanctions

In meeting of the board of trustees of Pardis science and technology park, the first vice president stated: science and technology parks, universities and science and technology centers of the country are one of the hopes of the country in order to deal with pressures and rely on our domestic power to meet the country’s needs.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the ninth meeting of the board of trustees of Pardis science and technology park was held by the chairmanship of Eshaq Jahangiri, the first vice president. In this meeting, Jahangiri regarded the activities of Pardis park and its members positive and emphasized the necessity of more efforts toward the development of knowledge-based activities by the authorities of the park.

The first vice president also affirmed: if the direction of technology parks and knowledge-based companies is toward new projects and commercialization of new ideas, this scientific center will be turned into a place for attraction and maintenance of talents and elites and we will not witness the emigration of these individuals.

Guidance of Knowledge-based Companies toward New and Big Projects

Jahangiri mentioned one-sided sanctions of the United States, remembering the elites and human resources of the country as a relying point for dealing with the sanctions.

The first vice president asked the vice president for science and technology affairs to hold meetings with the board of trustees of Pardis technology park in order to redefine the programs and missions and guide the park and knowledge-based companies toward new and big activities and projects.

He also pointed out: if big projects and programs are defined by science and technology parks, the banking system, investment companies and the private sector will enter the field and supply their financial resources through these projects.

An 80-million Market for Products with the Ability of Competition

Pointing out the concern of science and technology parks and knowledge-based companies regarding the market of their products, the first vice president added: Iran as an 80-million market. In addition, we could have the market of our neighboring countries if we are able to produce competitive products.

This meeting was attended by the first vice president, mayor of Tehran, the president of Sharif University and CEO of Pasargad Bank. In addition, the head of Pardis technology park presented a report on the activities of the park and member companies over the last year.

Implementation of Occupational Empowering Project for Students

The president of Pardis technology park announced planning for implementation of project of occupational empowering for students, conveying: products of knowledge-based companies are presented through a system called the fin-market network so that the needs of the administrative organizations are met through the products of these companies and purchasing of foreign counterparts could be avoided.

He also mentioned holding the 8th international technology and innovation exhibition in June, mentioning: along with this exhibition, the science ministers of 60 countries will visit the science and technology achievements of Iran in the form of SCAP innovation forum.

In this meeting, the audit report of Pardis Park until the beginning of 2018, selecting the auditor of 2018, evaluation and confirmation of the detailed budget of 2018, and correction issues of financial regulations of Pardis technology park were confirmed by the board of trustees.
