According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells and regenerative medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter, expressed on the press conference of the third national festival and international congress on stem cells and regenerative medicine, explaining: this event is recognized as one of the largest cell events and an area for presentation of 3000 activists in the field of stem cells.

He expressed: in this festival, we do not just use university students and professors. In fact, this event is a combination of presence of managers of knowledge-based companies, entrepreneurs, investors, donors, and all the stakeholders of the field.

Hamidieh continued: more than three thousand people have registered for the festival. Now, 17 educational workshops with various topics are held in Tehran. The third startup event of stem cells and regenerative medicine was initiated yesterday and will continue until tomorrow. It is interesting that those who have been selected in the first startup event of stem cells have established a company and hold the third round of the event themselves.

Director general of the third national festival and international congress of stem cells and regenerative medicine announced the other programs of the event in the technomart, asserting: in this event, idea owners and investors can communicate with each other. This event shows the level of growth of this science in entrepreneurship and occupation formation.

He pointed out the high number of prominent lecturers, who will be present on the section of international congress, affirming: prominent lecturers will attend the event from France, Singapore, Swiss, Switzerland, Canada, Netherlands, England, the United States, Spain, Poland, Russia, Ireland, Australia, and Japan.

According to Hamidieh, the interesting part of the festival is the student section, where individuals will attend from across the country. In this regard, he added: some of the articles sent by 11^th and 10^th-grade students to the festival were unbelievable. In this section, students will showcase their constructions.

The innovation thinking association is another part of the event established with the cooperation of non-resident Iranians and foreign scientists to have joint cooperation, as reported by Hamidieh. Valid professors from across Iran and other countries will attend this event so that we could benefits from their collaborations and capacities.

He introduced another part of the event to be the national prize, asserting: similar to each year, the top articles, top invention, top idea presented in the last year in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine will be awarded.

Secretary of stem cells and regenerative medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter explained: the symposium on graft versus host disease (GvHD) will be held with the cooperation of Iran and France as one of the programs of the international congress.

According to Hamidieh, several 100% Iranian products in this field will be unveiled on the closing ceremony.

The Circle of Stem Cells in the Country Is Completed

Hamidieh announced some of the important news in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine, including the design of regulations for people. Pointing out the promise made by the stem cells and regenerative medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter regarding obtaining licenses and regulations from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Hamidieh stated:

The first "Cell, tissue and gene therapy" directive, which was related to the products of this field, was formulated in 1994 by the Food and Drug Administration. The third edition of the "Banking, Hematology and Cord Bonding Centers" was announced through the Ministry of Health.
