According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sirous Vatankhah Moghadam, secretary of energy technology development headquarter, mentioned the designing of several national plans in energy area, stating: these national plans are in a key and prioritized area of the country, where we are faced with many challenges and problems.

One of these plans is chemical compounds and catalysts in the area of oil and technology development in collecting, refining and using flares or burners. In addition, the headquarter has defined various programs to improve industry and building, benefits of which include the formation of fuel conservation optimization clinics, growth of construction accelerators, strengthening of knowledge-based companies in the field of construction optimization, and replacement of electric motors for water cooler with new generation technology. In addition, enhanced oil industry is also emphasized by the headquarter.

In another part of his speech, Vatankhah Moghadam announced the implementation of three megaprojects, expressing: the first megaproject of the headquarter is helping the formation of waste incinerators in northern cities of the country. However, it has been two years since the close cooperation of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs with related organizations and ministries regarding infrastructure activities in this area. The financing article for supplying the budget for creation of waste incinerators in northern cities has been approved by the president and sent to the parliament for final confirmation.

According to Vatankhah, the second megaproject is electric vehicles. In this regard, he affirmed: with the cooperation of technology innovation and commercialization development headquarter, development of technology of electric vehicles has been seriously followed up due to various environmental problems of Iran. In this respect, various measures have been taken, including helping the production of encouraging package for capable and interested knowledge-based and private companies of this field, formation of necessary network and specialized capacity inside the country and international collaborations. The third megaproject is in the area of energy storage, for which the primary measures have been taken.
