The third symposium of stem cells and regenerative medicine in ophthalmology and the first workshop for introduction of iPSC technology in ophthalmology will be held with the cooperation of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the third symposium of stem cells and regenerative medicine in ophthalmology will be held February 22^nd 2018 in Razi Conference Hall with the cooperation of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter.

Topics of this symposium include the future of regenerative medicine in ophthalmology, new methods of cell therapy in ophthalmology, position of Iran in terms of stem cells and regenerative medicine in ophthalmology and holding the first workshop to introduce the iPCS technology in ophthalmology.

Along with this event, the first workshop for introduction of iPSC technology in ophthalmology will be held February 23^rd 2018 in cellular and molecular research center of Iran University of Medical Sciences.

The main topics of this workshop are fundamental concepts of stem cell, methods to produce and determine the characteristics of induced pluripotent stem cells, applications of induced pluripotent stem cells, advanced topics related to induced pluripotent stem cells, creation, cultivation, maintenance and distinguish of induced pluripotent stem cells.
