Manager of the marine biotechnology working group of the biotechnology development headquarter stated: we need to dedicate extensive efforts to increase of share of marine biotechnology in national GDP.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mohammad Pourkazemi, manager of the marine biotechnology working group of the biotechnology development headquarter, stated during the meeting of determining the legal and technical solutions to support active marine knowledge-based companies with the title of “meeting on interaction and cooperation with knowledge-based companies: “we sincerely appreciate the contributions of the biotechnology development headquarter to the formation of this working group. This incident will be used as a proper opportunity for the growth and development of biotechnology products in marine field and development of knowledge-based companies in terms of quality and quantity.
According to Pourkazemi, cooperation with the Iranian Fisheries Science Research Institute to overcome the problems posed by knowledge-based companies, introduction and support of products of knowledge-based companies by the headquarter of promotion, and transfer of findings by the Iranian Fisheries Science Research Institute are effective steps taken in this regard.
He continued: we hope that the suggestions and problems stated in the meeting be followed up in the future meetings and the issues related to the organization of research, education and promotion of agriculture be prioritized for evaluation.
During the meeting, Hossein Abdollahi, deputy of aquaculture of Fisheries Organization, talked about the current condition and future challenges in this industry, announcing the preparedness of the Fisheries Organization for cooperation with knowledge-based companies.
In addition, Homayoun Hosseinzadeh, research deputy of result transfer of the Iranian Fisheries Science Research Institute explained about the experiences of cooperation between the mentioned institute and the private sector and knowledge-based companies on transfer of technical knowledge for production of Tilapia fish in the greenhouse and rainbow trout and disease-free shrimp.
During the meeting and according to the agenda of technology meetings, support and equipment services that can be provided to the centers affiliated to the Iranian Fisheries Science Research Institute to knowledge-based companies were explained so that these enterprises could be familiarized with the current potentials.
