The seventh national congress on medicinal herbs will be held May 2018 in Shiraz with the support of the medicinal herbs and traditional medicine technologies development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the seventh national congress on medicinal herbs will be held by national network of research and technology of medicinal plants and in cooperation with related organizations of Shiraz with the support of the medicinal herbs and traditional medicine technologies development headquarter.

The main areas of the seventh national congress on medicinal herbs are industry and economy, pharmacy, medicine and veterinary, agriculture and natural resources and basic sciences.

The area of industry and economy includes the trading of medicinal plants and their products, production of medicinal herb products, innovation in production of strategic products, qualitative system and production of high quality products, transfer of technology and production of herbal products.

On the other hand, traditional medicine, pharmacological effects, clinical impacts, formulation and control are the topics in the areas of pharmacy, medicine and veterinary.

The area of agriculture and natural resources includes ecology, plant physiology, manipulation and modification, biotechnology, planting and harvest, primary processing after eliminating mechanization, and seed technology.

Moreover, the area of basic sciences constitutes of botany, phytochemicals, biochemistry, genetics, and biological and biotechnological effects.

Abstracts of articles have been received for the congress since August 6^th 2017 and will continue to March 6^th 2018. The results of evaluation of the articles will be announced on the website on March 19^th 2018.

Registration deadline for authors of articles is April 9^th 2018. The program of the congress will be announced April 25^th 2017, and the event will be started on May 12^th 2018.

Members of the committee of this congress are professors, members of the council of the medicinal herbs and traditional medicine technologies development headquarter, and representatives from relevant organizations.
