Nanostartup is a program with the approach of technology development implemented with the goal of team making to solve national challenges in the area of water and environment. The second round of this event was held with the support of the nanotechnology development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, inauguration of the Nanostartup was carried out in the presence of 70 individuals with the best ranks in the 8^th national competition of nanotechnology with the approach of team making and developing technology in this area so that the challenges in the area of water and environment could be solved.

In this event, Emad Ahmadvand, manager of the promotion working group of nanotechnology development headquarter, stated about the importance of entrepreneurship, technology and product development in the country, reviewing the achievements of the first round of Nanostartup.

Mohammad Bagheri Motlagh Pashaki, manager of this program and promotion of students, explained about the importance and mission of Nanostartup program.

After that, the support approaches of the event in the area of counseling and technical monitoring, business, analysis and raw materials were explained by the holding officials. One of the important issues in the program was team making and self-recognition, explained in the form of an educational workshop.

With regard to the priorities of Iran in the area of water and environment, this issue was introduced as the main topic of Nanostartup and participants are required to work in this area. However, holders of the event provided various ideas that were the result studies on water and environment area in the form of a booklet.

Following that, the self-recognition workshop was held, in which participants took self-recognition tests with the guidance of the teacher to answer the question of: “what is my role in a team”.

This program was held last year with the goal of introducing the representative of Iran to the international Nano Olympiad in the area of water and wastewater. In the second round of the course, Nanostartup changed its approach from competitive to supportive to develop all eligible teams to establish a startup, produce raw materials and commercialize them.

Observers of the international student Nano Olympiad select the best teams among those present in various rounds of the program using their own criteria for participation in the second international student Nano Olympiad. These criteria will be provided for the enthusiasts of the field by the permanent secretariat of the event at the right time. According to the agreement made in the strategic committee, this Olympiad will be held every two years.
