According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the second national congress on integrative oncology with management of Hossein Rezaeizadeh and support of traditional medicine and medicinal herbs sciences and technology development headquarter and cooperation of breast cancer research center of Iranian academic center for education, culture and research, cancer office of ministry of health and traditional medicine school of Tehran university of Medical Science and faculty members of schools of traditional medicine, nutrition, and pharmacy of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

According to Dr. Rezaeizadeh, this congress will be held with the slogan of integration and synergy, aiming to improve the quality of life of cancer patients. In this regard, he stated: increased use of complementary medication and development of scientific research in this area are indicative of satisfaction of people with plants and natural products in the form of food and medication in many countries.

The world health organization (WHO) and many other international scientific centers have confirmed the role and importance of alternative medicines and medical plants, providing several recommendations in the form of policy-making and research in this area.

The second national congress on integrative oncology is important since it shows that 63-92% of individuals referring to cancer clinics have used at least one of the complementary medications.

“The second national congress on integrative oncology” will be held October 18^th-20^th, 2017 at the Razi conference center of Tehran with the cooperation of cooperation of breast cancer research center of Iranian academic center for education, culture and research, cancer office of ministry of health and support of traditional medicine and medicinal herbs sciences and technology development headquarter.
