According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Ali Morteza Birang, deputy for international affairs and technological exchange center, pointed out the holding of the second conference on the international economy and technology cooperation between Iran and Europe in Brussels, stating: this conference will be held June 21st-22nd, 2018 with the aim of dealing with Iranophobia project after the withdrawal of the United States of America from the nuclear agreement and policies of America to end the deal.

He added: this conference will be held to increase the cooperation of the parties on issues such as economic development, the growth of startup society, and internationalization of knowledge-based companies. In addition, the vice president for science and technology affairs will present a lecture on the opening ceremony.

According to Birang, the vice president for science and technology affairs will meet with high-ranking authorities of Belgium and the United Nations on the ecosystem of innovation, the condition of startups in Iran, and capacity of knowledge-based companies.

He also asserted: this conference will be held by the efforts of Ravand research institute and with the counseling of the ministry of foreign affairs with the issue of economic and technology cooperation in Brussels as the main base of the United Nations. The first round of the conference was held in Vienna three years ago.

Deputy of international affairs for the vice president for science and technology affairs continued: Iranophobia caused by America has led to lack of adhering to regulations by some European companies. However, it is essential to make the environment more positive for the cooperation of Iran and Europe, which can help to improve the policies of the country.

In another part of his speech, Birang affirmed: in this program, Belgian authorities and EU Commissioners are invited and small and medium knowledge-based companies can participate in the event.

He also mentioned: the conference of cooperation of Iran and Europe with the topic of “new vision” and goals of determining new horizons of cooperation in technology fields, establishing new businesses, financial technology, energy and natural resources with an emphasis on renewable energies, mines, venture capitals, investment and commercial free zones by IEBC.

According to Birang, specialized meetings with the topics of “vision of startups in Iran”, “cooperation in the fin-tech area (financial technologies and innovations”, “investment and business in Iran”, “national energy and resources”, and “venture capitals” will be held as well.

Head of the international affairs and technological exchange center added: “exhibition part of startups”, “exhibition section of business and investment”, “workshop with the topic of compliance (a special opportunity for Iranian banks” and “B2B meetings” are among the other parts of this two-day event.

In another part of his speech, Birang mentioned: the key lecturers of this conference include the vice president for science and technology affairs, the political deputy of ministry of foreign affairs, former minister of energy, deputy minister and head of board of trustees of the organization of mine renovation and development and mining industries of Iran (IMIDRO), deputy of foreign affairs of minister of oil, deputy of the central bank, and secretary of the higher council of the free commercial and economy zones.
