Secretary of the biotechnology development headquarter believes that the private and non-government sector must enter various scientific fields, especially biotechnology.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of the biotechnology development headquarter, visited the latest achievements and capabilities of Alborz Science and Technology Park and Jahad Daneshgahi Martyrs Research Center and stated: we expect that Jahad Daneshgahi be more involved in various areas of the country with its programs.

He pointed out the necessity of more cooperation between Jahad Daneshgahi and the Vice-Presidency, expressing: we do not have financial and budgetary constraints to implement joint projects required in the country. We can finance projects through the Vice-Presidency and the Iranian national science foundation.

According to Ghanei, the headquarter has been successful in the field of medicine production, and the country has achieved great experiences in various science and research areas. However, we need to make efforts to more involve the non-government and private sector in the development of different scientific fields of the country.

Hamidreza Tayebi, head of Jahad Daneshgahi, affirmed: research activities in research groups of our organization have reached the technology production border and specialized services of these groups are provided to the community in a professional manner.

During this visit, negotiations were carried out on the establishment of the virtual network of gene banks of the country. Given the presence of the infrastructure for establishment of this network in the national Iranian Biological Resource Center, it was decided to establish the necessary cooperation between the mentioned center and the biotechnology development headquarter in order to complete and improve these infrastructures.
