The one-day symposium on “Personalized Medicine” was held with the cooperation of the stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter in the center of international conferences of Alzahra University.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the one-day symposium on “Personalized Medicine” was held by the efforts of student science association of stem cells and regenerative medicine of Alzahra University with the cooperation of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter and specialized medicine research center at the center of international conferences of Alzahra University.

This symposium was held by the efforts of the student science association of stem cells and regenerative medicine of Alzahra University with the approach of “familiarization with the new science of personalized medicine” in the presence of Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter, Mohammad Ali Saremi, head of the specialized medicine research center of Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences, Masoud Houshmand, board member of national genetics engineering and biotechnology research center, Reza Nekooian, faculty member of Iran University of Medical Sciences, Neda Golijani Moghadam, social and cultural deputy of Alzahra University, and about 200 activists and enthusiasts of the field.

The main topics of the event included specialized medicine, future of this medicine, diagnostic methods in specialized medicine, cancer and specialized medicine, role of pharmacogenetics in specialized medicine, and lifestyle improvement with specialized medicine.

Amir Ali Hamidieh talked about the importance of updating treatment and medical methods based on specialized medicine.

He also pointed out the treatments related to immune cells, including CAR-T cell, as a specialized treatment method, talking about the market and importance of this science in the world.
