The near-zero-energy building of Iran will be constructed

An agreement was signed to construct the near-zero-energy building of Iran along with the project of energy use and environmental optimization and Sharif Innovation Station.

The main goal of the agreement is constructing a building that can produce an acceptable amount of energy as a complete and proper example. The building will serve as a center for energy optimization experts, students and researchers to educate and promote culture in the field.

Ali Vatani, the manager of the national project of energy and environmental optimization in construction, mentioned that this is the first national project constructed with this title. In this regard, he stated: design of the building is very important. Despite all problems in the country, we hope that the project will be finished with a scientific, economic, managerial and executive attitude at a specific time.

Given the necessity of developing new businesses in the field of energy optimization, it is anticipated that the mentioned building be used as a space for the ecosystem of energy optimization services.

Mahdi Shakouri, the deputy manager of the project, continued: One of the goals of this project is to promote the subject of 19 National Building Regulations with the approach of developing sustainable fossil-fuel-efficient buildings and designed and constructed on the basis of similar international experiences.

He also marked: the mentioned building will have unique features, the most important of which is minimum need for fossil fuel energies and an energy performance index between 50-75 kW/h per year.
