According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the first national conference of cultural technologies was held in Sharif University of Technology in the presence of activists of cultural industries and with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.
Creation of the Foundation for Development of Culture Using Technologies
Seyed Mohammad Hossein Sajadi Nayeri, secretary of soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter, pointed out the support of establishment of an ecosystem for development of cultural technologies and industries by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, stating: the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has laid the foundation for development of an ecosystem for activities of knowledge-based creative companies and startups of the cultural area by moving toward elimination of shortages and gaps in this regard.
Increasing Growth of Knowledge-based Companies and Startups in the Cultural Area
Parviz Karami, advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs pointed out the ability of startups and active knowledge-based companies in the area of cultural industries and their role playing in the knowledge-based production and occupation, affirming: knowledge-based and startup businesses have been created due to specific needs. In addition, they are solution-oriented and if faced with problems, they will solve it with innovation and creativity.
Karami regarded innovation and technological advancement as the most important feature of businesses, declaring: knowledge-based businesses and manufacturing startups present and foster their own ideas and their efforts guarantee the growth of their business.
Secretary of knowledge-based technologies, sciences and culture development headquarter pointed out the importance of culture building and promoting startups and knowledge-based companies, asserting: culture building and promotion of entrepreneurship ecosystem are significantly important. This culture must be created among society members. However, this process requires time and our help.
Exist of Dead End by Cultural Industries
Karami pointed out: our creative and professional youth must enter the area of cultural technology and creative industries to improve this field and create new jobs in the cultural technology section. Unfortunately, we have faced a dead end in the government employment area and exist of this dead end requires more attention to digital industry and cultural industries.
Unveiling the Soft Innovation Book
In another part of this event, the book of “soft innovation” by Paul Stoneman, which is translated to Farsi by Amir Hossein Asadi, Nastaran Afsham and Isa Keshavarz, was unveiled in the presence of Parviz Karami, head of the policy-making council, and Seyed Mohammad Hossein Sajadi Nayeri, secretary of the conference.
It is noteworthy that the national conference of cultural technologies will be held by the efforts of the knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter and soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter attended by more than 30 owners of creative and innovative companies.
