The knowledge-based economy will strengthen Iran in dealing with sanctions

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, the deputy head of the budget and planning organization, expressed during the visit of exhibition of achievements of Pardis Technology Park: the position of knowledge-based activities has always been clear. The government has used the knowledge-based area to increase the acceleration in scientific growth of the country.

He pointed out the budget bill of the next year, explaining: in a budget with a public resources worth of 407 thousand billion tomans, the highest rate of budget (approximately 75 thousand billion tomans) has been allocated to education after issues related to social welfare, such as retired people and supportive payments of the government.

Nobakht reminded: the budget growth for the next year is limited due to the current sanctions and constraints in oil export. However, we have considered a 72% credit growth for science and technology parks. In addition, the budget and planning organization has announced its preparedness for considering all science activities of some science and technology parks with no limitations according to an agreement made with the Vice-Presidency. In addition, it is aimed to eliminate the barriers to the path of these activities.

He continued: without a doubt, supportive measures will be taken in the field of technology and for science and technology park. Moreover, the economy of resistance depends of the knowledge-based nature of achievements. While being considered on hardware and development of infrastructures is a necessity, it is not sufficient. The infrastructures of the country have been sufficiently established in the last 40 years. Nonetheless, they cannot be helpful in today’s global competitions.

In line with achievements of Pardis Technology Park, he mentioned: more than 1700 billion tomans worth of investment has been made by the public in this organization. Review of the economy of resistance can determine similar locations for this purpose. In addition, the government extremely supports the young vice president, Sorena Sattari. We hope that the managers of Pardis Technology Park know that the government has always had their back.
