According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, vice president for science and technology affairs, visited the international competition of RoboCup of Iran and talked about the emphasis of the Supreme Leader of Iran on this issue and the slogan of this year, which is related to the role of robotic science in production and occupation, expressing: role of knowledge-based economy is a key role as the basis and pioneer of resistive economy to achieve the slogan of this year for creating jobs and products. In addition, all sections of the country, including universities, must move toward achieving these goals. In this regard, creativity of the Iranian youth in various technology fields, such as robotics, will be extremely effective.
According to Sattari, Iran has used the capacity of its valuable and educated young human resource to take steps forward in the field of robotics. He continued: a part of innovation and capabilities of Iranian young population in the field of robotics can be observed in RoboCup competition. We have to create the necessary foundations for commercializing the current innovations in these competitions.
Pointing out the rapid growth of knowledge-based companies in this area, Sattari stated: fortunately, the number of knowledge-based companies increases every year. These companies can create added value and occupation after reaching the production phase.
President of national elites foundation mentioned the support of active top talents in the field of robotics by this foundation and the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, affirming: fortunately, these competitions have been helpful for developing the science of robotics in the country. In this regard, the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and national elites foundation will support the top talents and technologies for commercialization of their innovations.
The 12th round of “international RoboCup competition of Iran-2017” was held April 5th-7th 2017 at Tehran International Exhibition & Convention Center with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and help of Islamic Azad University, Qazvin branch and research deputy of Islamic Azad University.
