According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, commodore Amir Rastegari, deputy of minister of defense and armed Forces Logistics, pointed out the maritime industry complexes of the ministry of defense in 10 provinces of the country, stating: in these complexes, industries, such as marine explorer, towing, flying boat, and tourism and rescue vessels, and many military and non-military equipment, such as marine and submarine engine and cables.

He pointed out the unveiling of the first national Diesel engine produced by domestic industries in May of this year, adding: there are many abilities in the marine industry field, which can help our self-efficacy in this area.

Rastgari also talked about the current capacities in marine industries of Gilan in production of destroyers and missile guiders, affirming: with regard to the high capacity of Gilan, we can use tourism fleets and rescue fleets, which are among the marine industry production.

President of the marine industrial organization of ministry of defense mentioned the creation of all types of recreational fleets by domestic experts, asserting: the prices of these fleets are completely competitive with foreign producers.

He also announced that the marine industry has aimed to attend the permanent exhibition of products of prefabricated structures, stating: to increase the dynamic nature of fleets, we have initiated negotiation with active European countries of this field to have cooperation with other countries.
