According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, stated on the inauguration ceremony of the first laser innovation center in Iran: we have witnessed great events in the area of lasers in the country, and various organizations, such as atomic energy organization, have been supported in this regard, in a way that it could be affirmed that Iran has a unique style in various parts of this knowledge, which require progress, especially in the field of product commercialization.

Sattari continued: by participation of young manpower, knowledge-based companies have been able to create entrepreneurship in this area. As observed in this center, we can see that companies are active in various laser fields, including medical and laboratory equipment, student research centers, and creative companies in the area of laser and industrial games.

Head of Iran national elites foundation expressed: problems in obtaining licenses, especially in the area of medical equipment, has been one of the challenges of this field, for which many attempts have been made to be eliminated. However, the new nature of this knowledge can be one of the causes of such problems.

A Hundred-billion Market Awaits the Knowledge-based Companies of the Laser Area

The vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned that great events will occur in the near future in this area, stating: the hundred-billion market is in the path of knowledge-based companies of this field. In addition, startups are formed by young and creative human sources. All of these events will lead to a better future in this area.

In addition, Ali Akbar Salehi, head of atomic energy organization, pointed out that none of the thresholds of science and technology could be achieved since the beginning of revolution. He added: currently and after 38 years, many attempts have been made to obtain these thresholds and witness the progression of various fields, one of which is laser. With the help of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, we were able to use collected experiences in the country in the form of startups and innovation centers, so that these achievements and experiences could be turned into products and be sold in the society.

Additional Growth in the Field of Knowledge-based Products

Mentioning the scientific advancements in the country, Salehi affirmed: each year, we witness a significant growth in production of knowledge-based products, which is not linear. Many innovative activities have been carried out in the laser innovation center to familiarize students with this technology from early stages. This can lead to significant changes in the country. Constant growth of this area will lead to the familiarization of students of the country with subjects related to laser, and this energy will be a source for increasing the number of scientists of this field.

Culture Building about Laser Area from Students Age

Laser innovation center of Iran was established as the first innovation center of this field with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, so that the knowledge of laser can be entered into the industry in the form of practical products. In addition, attracting innovative ideas and eliminating the market need are some of the other actions of this center. In total, eight knowledge-based companies are based in this center, which are actively in the area of production of localized laser products. In addition, equipment for various areas, including education, medicine, industry and research, are produced in this center. On the other hand, activities of knowledge-based in this center have led to the creation of many products, including laser flash, advanced laser kit, optical sight, and laser therapy. However, culture building and promoting the area of laser have been carried our through providing laser education kits for student research centers, so that students are familiarized with basic topics of this field.

In addition, the vice president for science and technology and head of atomic energy organization visited various sections of this center, who were accompanied by Mahmoud Sheikh-Zeinoddin, vice president for innovation and technology commercialization, Mohammad Sadegh Zabihi, secretary of headquarter of lasers, photonics and microstructures, and Parviz Karami, secretary of knowledge-based science, technology and economy development headquarter.
