The energy technologies development headquarter has aimed to develop technologies, such as commercialization of electric motorcycle, diesel particulate filter (DPF) and car catalytic converter in line with the implementation of the document of “support of control of air pollution and reduction of its impacts on health”.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the document of support of control of air pollution was prepared by the Academy of Medical Sciences and with the cooperation of some organizations, including the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, municipality, department of environment protection, ministry of health, Air Quality Control Organization, and international organizations (e.g., UNDP).

This document is designed to support the implementation of effective actions to reduce air pollution with prioritization of macro cities. The main topic of this document is air pollution. In addition, responsibilities are determined for each related organization to witness the reduction of air pollution.

Meanwhile, the topic of technology in reduction of air pollution is significant important since most of the air pollution is related to energy and fuels that cause air pollution after being burnt. Therefore, we can develop some technologies to pave this way. On the other hand, this issue is being followed up by the energy technologies development headquarter. In this regard, development of air pollution reduction technologies, such as commercialization of electrical motorcycles, diesel particulate filter (DPF) and car catalytic converter, is being followed up by the organization in line with the implementation of the document. However, further follow-up meetings will be held in the participating organizations to evaluate the taken measures in this respect.
