The designs of the technology cores were judged in the field of "materials and construction"

The first day of “judging to recognize selected projects of technological cores” was held in the field of materials and construction. Academic researchers and technologists of various fields of study had their projects be judged by referees during December 14th-15th, 2019.

After the initial evaluation and screening phase, the necessary planning for the on-site refereeing of the advanced technology cores was carried out for those moving on to the next stage of the “competition to recognize technological cores in materials and construction”.

The competition was held during September 6th-November 6th, 2019 with the support of the photonics, laser, advanced materials and construction and Sadr Tamin Investment Company.

Metals, polymers, glass and ceramics, composites, paint additives, biomaterials, smart materials, recycling, manufacturing and supplementary processes (heat treatment, welding, and surface coating), are among the axes of plans presented at the event.

In total, 27 ideas related to technological cores moving on to the next stage will be evaluated by referees on December 14th-15th, 2019 at the location of Iran national innovation fund and with the leadership of the laser, photonics, advanced materials and construction technologies development headquarter.

The jury in the two sections of “recycling and alloying” and “ceramic and composite” accepted the designers to defend their designs within the designated time frame.

On the first days, researchers from various universities in the country, including Bu-Ali Sina in Hamedan, Amirkabir University of Technology, Hamedan University of Technology and Iran University of Science and Technology, Tabriz, Materials and Energy Research Institute, Arak, and Babol Noshirvani University, presented their innovative ideas and answered various questions.

Hamid Reza Shahroudi, one of the members of the laser, photonics, advanced materials and construction technologies development headquarter and a faculty member at Tarbiat Modares University, was the head of the referees. The judgment process continued in two sections of “3D printing” and “surface engineering” on December 15th, 2019.

In addition to inviting researchers from each field of study, the laser headquarter also invited the representatives of accelerators and large investing companies to attend the process and ask questions from idea owners and projects that have investment potentials.
