With regard to the high technology attraction capacities of Africa, the center for international science and technology interaction has aimed to send a commercial-technological delegation from Iran to North Africa.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the center for international science and technology interaction, will send a commercial-technological delegation encompassing technological and knowledge-based companies specifically active in areas of agriculture (machinery and input), health (medication and medical equipment), information technology, industrial machinery, building materials and polymers, mine industries and convergent industries, to three African countries of Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya.

This program will be held September 3rd-7th, 2018 in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, representatives from the Saderat Bank, commercial development organization, ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of health, ministry of agriculture and center for development partnerships. Holding commercial meetings between Iranian companies and Kenyan businessmen is the main plan of this country.

In addition, Uganda, which as proper political relations with Iran, has an annual import share of $5.5 billion. Share of export of Iran to this country includes only $2.2 million and limited to some genetic medications. Holding commercial meetings between Iranian and Ugandan companies is among the most important plans of the delegation.
