The vice president for science and technology affairs emphasized the use of new technologies and knowledge-based achievements in the area of art in a message to the 100 Film Festival.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, announced in a message to the 12^th international film festival of 100-second movies, which is held to develop ethics in cinema and support Iranian knowledge-based products: each second is a year in the hand of creator and maker of artifacts. Artists pave the way to needs and accelerate growth.

In this message, we read: living artistically is modern world is not limited to dreams and interest. What makes this interesting circle complete is useful technologies and knowledge-based achievements. The art of cinema makes way with its novel techniques and reach new lands. That is how the destiny of people of a region can move toward happiness.

In addition, Sattari wrote: I hope that this festival further paves the way for the future generation with the same pace and bravery.

The 100 Film Festival is a new cinema gathering that plays an important role in the promotion and development of works and discovery of talents. In a part of the festival called “cinema of ethics”, we have aimed to play a main role in the promotion of cinema of Iran with ethical and human concepts. This event was held February 27^th-29^th, 2019.

By creating the special section of support of Iranian knowledge-based products in the 12^th 100-film festival, the vice president announced receiving works from various fields of new businesses and startups, producing wealth from science and technology, introducing the knowledge-based economy, supporting the production of Iranian knowledge-based services and products, improving the culture of producing high-quality products, and eliminating the destructive effects of purchasing foreign products and excessive and illegal imports in this event.
