According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Ehsan Arefian, manager of education, research and human resource development of the stem cells technologies and sciences development headquarter, regarded the holding of the first stem cells and tissue engineering student Olympiad a valuable measure taken to modify higher education in stem cells area.

He pointed out the importance of new sciences and convergence technologies in the modern era, stating: the stem cells and tissue engineering student Olympiad is the only interdisciplinary Olympiad of the country, that will be held for the first time in the academic year of 2018-2019 by the recommendation of the stem cells technologies and sciences development headquarter and by the efforts of the national organization of educational testing.   

Arefian explained: selected works in the first stage of 24 fields of student Olympiads can participate in the final stage of student Olympiads, which is the first stem cells and tissue engineering student Olympiad. Manager of education, research and human resource development of the stem cells technologies and sciences development headquarter continued: holding this Olympiad in the country leads to the recognition of talented students in this area, who can be supported and guided after the event.

At the end, he expressed his hope about the event, asserting: this Olympiad will lead to the presentation of technological student ideas in areas of stem cells and regenerative medicine, and they can achieve global horizons by great efforts.

The first student Olympiad of stem cells and tissue engineering will be held in the academic year of 2018-2019 with the support of the stem cells technologies and sciences development headquarter and cooperation of national organization of educational testing across the country.
