The Vice President of Science and Technology went to Syria with 40 companies, academics and creators; Damascus hosts Iran's third technology innovation and export house abroad

The Vice President of Science and Technology headed a trade and technology delegation to Syria to inaugurate Iran's third Innovation and Technology Export House in Damascus.

Parviz Karami, Secretary of Culture and Knowledge-Based Economy and Development of Soft and Creative Industries Headquarters, announced the visit of Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science and Technology to Syria. Companies that all have Iranian products and services and this trip paves the way for the development of their market.

Adviser to the Vice President of Science and Technology referred to the first Iranian trade-technology meeting in Syria and added: "This meeting was held at the same time as the pavilion of knowledge-based and creative companies at the Syrian Reconstruction Exhibition in Damascus in July last year." Consultations and constructive results are also the reason for sending this business and technology delegation to this country.

 Referring to the plans of this trip, Karami continued: "Iran's third innovation and export house after China and Kenya will be set up in Syria so that our country's technological, knowledge-based and creative products can enter the market of this country." This will also pave the way for the development of exports to international markets.

The Secretary of the Culture and Knowledge-Based Economy and Development of Soft and Creative Industries Headquarters also said: "In this trip, business and technology meetings will be held between Iranian scholars and Syrian companies to find an international market for technological products of the two countries." In these meetings, a safe and secure path will be created for the development of exports of products and services and technology transfer from Iranian knowledge-based and creative companies to this country, and they can identify the corresponding Syrian companies and connect to the regional market.

Referring to other travel plans, Karami added: "The signing of a memorandum of cooperation is for the development of scientific, technological and political relations between the two countries." Memoranda of Understanding signed with the aim of working together to build and equip nanotechnology, biotechnology and hospital equipment laboratories.

 The advisor to the vice president of science and technology also said: "These agreements will be concluded between the vice president for science and technology and the Syrian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. During the visit, the Vice President for Science and Technology will also meet with Syrian government officials and ministers.

 

The capacity of the Syrian Arab Republic, given its favorable geographical location in West Asia and the eastern Mediterranean coast, to develop the exports of Iranian knowledge-based and creative companies and the need to increase the trade balance in the fields of science and technology, has led to special programs by The International Science and Technology Interaction Center of the Scientific Vice Chancellor should be designed to support the presence of Iranian knowledge-based and creative companies in the Arab field.
