The Laureates of the Third Round of the “Mustafa Prize” Are Introduced

The closing ceremony of the third “Mustafa Prize” was held in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs in Vahdat Hall. In total, five scholars from Iran and Turkey were introduced as the laureates and received awards.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the closing ceremony of the third Mustafa Prize ended when more than 30 Muslim countries welcomed the event. This award became a foundation for introducing the ability of Muslims and the world in disruptive technologies to the world.

The closing ceremony of the third “Mustafa Prize” was held in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the atomic energy organization, Alireza Marandi, the head of Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences, and some of the representatives of the Islamic consultative assembly.

The ceremony featured leading Muslim scholars working on the frontier of knowledge and presenting influential works in science and technology.

During the closing ceremony, Sattari stated: scientific and technological interactions are solid bridges that have nothing to do with governments and political events in the world.

According to the head of the policy-making council of the Mustafa Prize, from today until the two years since the fourth award ceremony is held, scientific communication and interactions between Islamic countries have continued and these interactions are not limited to the days of the award.

Sattari continued: one of the efforts of the prize is increasing the participation of women. We want to increase the role of Muslim female scientists in the event.

Mahdi Safarinia, the secretary of the policy-making council of the Mustafa Prize, affirmed: holding events such as the Mustafa Prize helps introduce the hidden and overt scientific and technological capabilities of Islamic society to the world.

"Establishing centers of cooperation between Islamic countries with the focus of prominent Muslim scholars is another advantage of the Mustafa Prize."

According to the secretary of the policy-making council of the Mustafa Prize, the Sixth Technology Experience Exchange Summit was held with the participation of 80 leading scientists from 27 universities and research centers in line with holding the Mustafa Prize.

Safarinia continued: the fourth meeting of Islamic investors with Muslim scientists was aimed at commercializing the products and efforts of scholars with the participation of 40 knowledge-based companies from 12 countries this year.

Prominent Muslim Scholars Are Introduced

The festival was held in the fields of "information and communication", "bio-medical", "nano" and "all scientific fields and scientists living in Islamic countries".

According to Hasan Zohour, the secretary of the science committee of the event, the call to attend the event was sent to 52 countries and 202 scientific units in May, and a total of 1649 works were delivered. In this round, scholars from Iran and Turkey were selected.

Zohour continued: in this round, Ugur Sahin, a Turkish professor, and Ali Khadem Hosseini, an Iranian scholar, were jointly selected in the bio-medical field.

In addition, Hossein Baharvand, an Iranian prominent students in the field of stem cells, Mohammad Abdolahad, a student residing in Iran in the field of nano electronics, and Umran Inan, a Turkish professor of electrical engineering, were introduced as prominent scientists living in Islamic countries.
