According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mohammad Hasan Osareh, the secretary of medical plants and traditional medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter, pointed out the fourth national festival of medical plants is held to familiarize people with this industry, expressing: graduates, physicians, students, industrialists, producers, and all those who are a part of the circle of medical plants industry, who are present in the exhibition and present their ideas and products.

He added: this year, the student section was held for the second round and welcomed by the audiences since there was a high demand in this part of the exhibition and more than one thousand projects were received by the headquarter. From these plans, 170 were approved due to the limited capacity of the exhibition.

According to Osareh, the ideas presented by students were creative and acceptable. Even some of the ideas are at the level of a startup, and their owners can establish relevant startups at low ages.

He also asserted: in terms of the presence of people in the event, we will achieve our determined goals and the festival will be greatly welcomed by the public.

The secretary of medical plants and traditional medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter pointed out the positive role of medical plants industry in the economy of the country during the sanctions against Iran, claiming: 100% of this industry can be an effective solution for economic flourishing in improper economic condition of the country and during sanctions against Iran. This year is called the year of support of Iranian products. In this regard, one of the industries that is 100% Iranian is the industry of medical plants.

Osareh continued: the raw material, industry, knowledge, and creativities existing in this industry are Iranian. In addition, about five thousand Iranian products are produced in the form of perfume, additives, stain, supplements, seasonings, spices, cosmetics, sweeteners, and pesticides using medical plants.

He continued: in this festival, we have a health town established with the cooperation of a higher number of general physicians and gastroenterologists to teach the healthy lifestyle to people. This town has been welcomed by the people and audiences, and has been established in line with the goal of culture building for Iranian medicine along with modern medicine.
