The innovation center of Varamin was opened in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs and with the cooperation of the private sector to turn technological ideas of the youth into technological products at a faster pace. This center is established in the lands of Varamin agricultural research and training center.

Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, emphasized the existence of considerable resources in Varamin and southeastern areas of Tehran, stating: Varamin city has a very good capacity in the field of technology and innovation. The establishment of this center is a good step to expand technological activities, but the capacity of Varamin is much more than this, and more centers should be dedicated to the establishment of technology and innovative centers.

Sattari also marked: the Vice-Presidency is prepared to allocate more financial support packages by creating a new space in this area. Agriculture, tourism and ICT are among the areas that can become the focus of innovation activity in Varamin and we can see its growth and promotion.

Two Annual Acceleration Rounds

According to the report, Varamin Innovation Center mainly focuses on agriculture. The center has also allocated a part of its power to the support of creative companies and teams.

Two rounds of acceleration are held in the center annually, each leading to the acceptance of 15 new technological teams. The technology teams based in this center receive various services and facilities such as training courses, consulting, SEO services and digital marketing. Deployed teams and technology activists can also benefit from the center's amenities and sports facilities.

An Exhibition for Knowledge-based Achievements

In addition, an exhibition of the achievements of knowledge-based companies in Varamin and other cities is held in the center. Nearly 25 knowledge-based and technology companies presented their products and services in this exhibition. Agricultural software, sulfuric acid catalysts, lubricants and special drugs for livestock and poultry are among the products presented in this exhibition.
