In order to lay the proper foundation for activity of knowledge-based companies in the agriculture field of Iran in the continent of Africa, an agreement was signed between the biotechnology development and Iran-Uganda holding company.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, in order to lay the proper foundation for activity of knowledge-based companies in the agriculture field of Iran in the continent of Africa, an agreement was signed between the biotechnology development by Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of the headquarter, and Iran-Uganda holding company by Seyed Mohammad Ali Mousavi.

In this agreement, the biotechnology development headquarter was recognized as the custodian of biotechnology in Iran of agriculture biotechnology companies in the continent of Africa with the goals of laying the foundation for permanent presence of Iranian biotechnology knowledge-based companies in the agriculture region through creating agricultural landscapes and suitable spaces, providing the possibility of accelerating the export of active knowledge-based companies of the field to Uganda, promoting agriculture biotechnology in Uganda through introducing the agriculture method of technology, and performing precise studies in the agriculture area in Africa, specifically in Uganda, to create the condition for development of cooperation between Iran and Uganda in the area of modern agriculture.

This agreement will be valid for three years by signing and exchanging it and canceled by one of the parties and can be renewed by agreement of both parties.
