The 22nd “Knowledge-based” is published.

The 22nd monthly journal of “Knowledge-based”, special November 2017 issue is published with a specific review of the importance of use of new technologies in natural disasters.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the recent earthquake of Kermanshah has brought us all down. Even the sweet victory of defeating ISIS and the passed holidays have failed to completely remove the bitterness of this incident. However, thinking about the future and finding new solutions to prevent other disasters is so interesting that we can think of a better future.

Confronting the Dilapidated Future

Importance of application of new technologies in natural disasters is inevitable. This issue was pointed out by Parviz Karami, editor-in-chief of “Knowledge-based” in the latest issue of the journal. In his editorial with the title of “confronting the sadness of destruction”, Karami wrote: “the only solution for elimination of concerns and decreasing serious damages caused by future earthquakes is the technological preventions of today. In addition to making life more simple and secure, technology can decrease the costs. Therefore, prevention of damages caused by earthquake and other natural disasters will always reduce the costs. Moreover, pre-crisis management is properly performed with the use of science and technology. As a result, we will not be obligated to bring our abilities to the forefront of our numerous compatriots sufferings in the occurrence of future events.”

Creation of Knowledge-based Market

Now that the number of registered knowledge-based companies has exceeded three thousand, the market must be soon filled with the products of these enterprises. However, while numerous products have been presented, the Iranian market has a high capacity, a major part of which is still empty of knowledge-based products. Mahmoud Sheikh Zeinoddin, deputy director of technology innovation and commercialization, who has made significant efforts in this area over the past few years, had an interview with the 22nd “Knowledge-based”.

Strength of Iran

Everyone has come to the realization that a country is made by its human resources and not mineral resources. Alireza Zolfaghari is an Iranian elite, who has selected Iran for work and had an interview with “Knowledge-based”, in which he affirmed: “the strength of Iran in the world of technology is its specialized human resource.”

Necessity of Investment of Women

Our dear women have a special position in the country. They have so much to offer in terms of both population and profession, and their effectiveness is not defined. Maryam Soltani, advisor to women’s affairs of chamber of guilds, had an interview with the 22nd “Knowledge-based”, pointing out important notes about investment opportunities of women.

Lack, Unavailability, Deficiency

The entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem has been associated with new thoughts, such as new industries. Hamid Lavimi is the CEO of an active knowledge-based company, who had an interview with “Knowledge-based”, believing that “the emergence of new industries will be realized by establishing new knowledge-based companies.”

Acceleration Method for Entrepreneurs

The agriculture area of the country still depends on traditional methods. Meanwhile, the knowledge-based economy and ecosystem of entrepreneurship have significantly broaden their boarders, which also includes agriculture. Malihe Kouchaki Motlagh, CEO of an active knowledge-based company, stated about agriculture in “Knowledge-based” journal: “knowledge-based activity in the area of agriculture is profitable and productive.”

Startups and Importance of Time

Startups have considerably developed in Iran, opening new paths for industries. Mohammad Hossein Ra’fatnejhad, CEO of an active startup in the country, had an interview with “Knowledge-based”, marking that “startups will fail without an income model.”
