The 21^st issue of “Knowledge-based” specifically reviews these essential aspects.

More than being effective and helpful, statistics mainly create attractiveness. However, these statistics are definitely unofficial and unprofessional! This time, Parviz Karami, editor-in-chief of “Knowledge-based” journal and advisor to the president of Iran national elites foundation, pointed out the unrealistic student immigration statistics and chaotic and concerning space in this regard in his editorial note with the title of “this unlimited description”, providing considerable notes. In a part of this editorial, where the author complains about spread of wrong statistics and benefiting from media charlatanism, we read: “in the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1978, the total number of university students was 270 thousand in Iran, from whom 100 thousand individuals attended universities abroad. From these individuals, 57 thousand studied in universities of America; in this regard, Iran has the largest colony of non-American students (mainly with scholarships) and the first rank in this country. However in 2016, the total number of Iranian students is 7.4 million, from whom only 48 thousand individuals, which is equal to one percent of total students of Iran, have attended universities abroad. From the mentioned number of students, only 12 thousand individuals are studying in universities of America without a scholarship.
