The 10^th special issue of journal of lasers and photonics (August 2018) is published with the cooperation of the lasers, photonics and micron structures technologies development headquarter and knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the 10^th special issue of journal of lasers and photonics includes eight sections of different topics and contents, including editorial, interview, report, vision, laser news, pioneers, guidance and technology school. This issue is published in 84 pages with the cooperation of the lasers, photonics and micron structures technologies development headquarter and knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter.

The first written statement entitled "The Necessity of Strategic Planning for the Realization of the Objectives of the Knowledge Economy" is directed by the head of the secretariat and the secretary of the strategic policy and policy-working group.

The second section is interview that is divided into two sections: the first section includes the industrial lasers of the country, introducing the Parto Pardazesh Madav Co. of Tehran. The second section contains an interview with Alireza Bahrampour, a professor in Sharif University of Industry regarding basic sciences, presenting a shortcut to reach the developed countries of the world.

Report

In this part, a report is presented on global lasers and photonics events in summer of 2018, focusing on imaging method of biological tissue via optical distribution method in laser and plasma research centers of Shahid Beheshti University.

Vision

In this section, a report is presented on XCLES project that lays a foundation for international scientific cooperation. In the second report, we evaluated the wide areas of wavelength with peak power point, pointing out laser pointers in the end.

Laser News

Laser News is another part of this special issue, the first part of which is dedicated to lasers sensitive to smells like the sense of smell of dogs, and its second part is related to focused nanometer scale light, which is a new method for detection of molecules.

Guidance is another part of this special issue, which is expressed in terms of spectroscopy and laser imaging, and some explanations about laser beam safety glasses are presented in this section as well.

In the final section, the technology school is presented. In this regard, vision error is evaluated and this question is raised that should we trust our eyes?, assessing magic with science.
