According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the first student competition on incremental building (3D printing) was held by the support of advanced manufacturing and materials technologies development headquarter and cooperation of  Tebyan Cultural Institute in the 13^th festival of Tebyan student projects on April 12^th-13^th, 2018.

This event was held to promote and build culture for goals, programs and contents desired in the area of incremental building among students at various academic levels through holding scientific and educational competitions and programs. However, several educational programs were held to familiarize students with the technology of 3D printing. The projects received by the secretariat of the festival were evaluated by a group of specialists of this field.

In addition to educational programs for familiarization of students with 3D printing technology, scientific seminars, exhibitions and scientific competitions were among the other three sections of the festival. In addition, achievements in this field were displayed in the exhibition booth of the headquarter located in the center of international conferences of Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran. In addition, samples of pieces produces by Iranian 3D printers were showcases in this booth.

The competition section of 3D printing with the title of 3D printing and design orientation was held as one of the sections of competition of the 13^th festival of Tebyan student projects, held in two sections of elementary school and the first and second courses. In these competitions, five teams from elementary schools and more than 15 teams from high schools competed separately. In the end, the projects were evaluated by four judges and the top projects were awarded. However, according to the regulations of the competition, the teams must had provided 3D printing of their ideas.
