Chairman of Iran national space administration stated: strategic space technologies and products will be produced in proportion to the country needs.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space administration, expressed about the development of technologies required by the space industry of the country: development of strategic technologies and products in proportion to the country needs has been one of the proper measures taken by the administration in the past few years, results of which are very tangible in the space industry.

He added: in this regard, some measures such as design and construction of eight-member Saba 248 (90%) one-member 72 airplane with turbofan engine (4.5%), and design and construction of Sorena light helicopter piston (80%) have been carried out.

According to Manteghi, design and construction of two engineering samples of double-engine six-member piston airplane of Fajr 33 (82.4%) and design and production of basic air radar are among the other developments in the administration.

He also asserted: other measures taken by the headquarter include transfiguration of the Tupolev 154 into firefighting aircraft (81%), development and completion of supply chain and airlines by relying on the private sector (40%) and design and construction of avionic modular (start).
