According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the standard committee of the bio-economy workgroup of biotechnology development headquarter has been established to advance the goals of this workgroup in the standardization area.

Exploiting the studies conducted in the area of biotechnology standards and assessing the institutional biotechnology mapping of Iran, this committee has designed a comprehensive model to facilitate the compilation of standards in biotechnology areas of the country, which have had sufficient growth, including agricultural biotechnology, environmental biotechnology and biotechnology equipment.

To this end, the standard committee of the bio-economy workgroup of biotechnology development headquarter has defined a model with the mentioned elements in each section, including policy-making government organizations, experts, the corresponding committee at the biotechnology headquarters and companies of the private sector.
