South Korea Will Cooperate with Iran in Industrialization of Technology
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the final seminar for summing up the program of “knowledge sharing” with South Korea was held at the center of technology and innovation cooperation of the president.
Ambassador of South Korea emphasized the importance of unity between that country and Iran, stating: South Korea has always been a supporter of Iran in the area of technology industrialization and will accompany this country to realize goals in this area.
Reminding the proper relationship of the two countries in the Seminar, He continued: we hope that these seminars lead to increased cooperation of the countries in technology area.
After that, Ali Morteza Birang, deputy for international affairs and technological exchange, expressed: Iran is at the stage of moving toward knowledge-based economy. With regard to activities of the 11th government and registration of more than three thousand knowledge-based companies in the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, more than 100 different services are provided for these companies.
He also affirmed: more than 50 innovation centers and accelerators have also been established by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.
Moreover, he mentioned the international cooperation of Iran with other countries, including Russia, Austria, and China, which has led to signing of agreements, Birang talked about the achievements of the cooperation with other countries, such as design of three-cylinder engine, which was recently unveiled by the minister of mine, trade and industry and the vice president for science and technology affairs.
He also pointed out the report provided by UNCTAD, adding: one of the priorities of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs is international cooperation with South Korea.
Deputy for international affairs and technological exchange also asserted: after the meeting of the last year, joint cooperation happened between Iran and South Korea, including cooperation in water area between technology and innovation centers by Korea, culture technology course by Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology and KAIST University, and joint meeting of Iran and South Korea on creative industries and cultural technologies held by soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter and South Korean ministry of culture and tourism.
During the meeting, Mr. Choi, deputy of electronic and telecommunication research institute (ETRI) of South Korea, stated about the method of cooperation of the institute and soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter and vice president of communications technology and social engineering of center of technological and innovative cooperation of the presidency in KSP project, presenting the achievements of the project.
At the end, he appreciated the efforts of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, center of technology and innovation cooperation of the presidency and information technology and communication research center.
This seminar was attended by Kim Seung Ho, ambassador of South Korea, and Cho, deputy of ETRI and their companions.
Representatives of Iran were Ali Morteza Birang, deputy for international affairs and technological exchange, and Mohammad Hossein Sajadi Nayeri, secretary of soft and identity-making technology development headquarter.
In addition, director of international affairs center for technology and innovation cooperation, head of electronic, telecommunication and robotics group of innovation and technology cooperation center and representative of institute of information and communication technology of Iran attended the meeting.
Week of government is held August 24th-31st, 2017 with the slogan of “hope and prudence for production and occupation”.
