Secretary of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter talked about the social macro issues and solving them as the goals of the headquarter on the opening ceremony of “My Brain Pardis”, regarding them as a way to increase social tolerance through using cognitive sciences.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Majid Nili, secretary of conative sciences and technologies development headquarter, expressed on the opening ceremony of “My Brain Pardis”: five years have passed since the establishment of the headquarter. During this time, we attempted to create the primary infrastructures to improve specialized human resources in the field of cognitive sciences, which is a new knowledge in the world. This issue has created a new and serious opportunity for creative youth of the country in order to develop this area at the proper time.
Nili continued: the move initiated by the headquarter in the past will continue to the future. However, in addition to the development of science path of the country, promotion of cognitive sciences and technologies is considered to be used by the public in future years. Enhancing human resources from student area to adulthood is another goal of the headquarter, where the brain awareness week is carried out as a program. However, inauguration of “My Brain Pardis” is carried out for the same purpose so that all people could learn about the brain function and performance by referring to this center.
Secretary of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter explained the macro social issues and solving them as the objectives of the headquarter in the future, affirming: increasing social tolerance with the use of cognitive sciences is one of the issues covered by the headquarter.
My Brain Pardis was opened in Book Garden of Tehran in the presence of Ishaq Jahangiri, the first vice president, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, Kamal Kharazi, advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs in the field of cognitive sciences, Mansour Gholami, minister of science and research, and a number of authorities of the country and activists in the field of cognitive sciences.
According to this report, this center encompasses five sections of brain function, various brains, cellular brain, future brains, and cognitive section. In these areas, information is practically provided to individuals using models of brain. This center has been equipped with the latest devices produced by domestic researchers.
In addition, 19 tools and equipment including nerve assessment, MRI simulation, cognitive games, clear brain, visual system, history of brain recognition and other fields of neurocognitive sciences are taught to increase the awareness of people, including children, adolescents, and the youth, about brain and mind. This space is designed in a way that all information of brain are provided to audiences.
