According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the CIA world factbook 2016 about the immigration statistics of countries is published.

According to this report, Iran with the ratio of 07.0 immigrant per thousand population was placed among the 10 countries with the lowest immigration rate.

In this regard, countries of Syria, Jordan and Maldives with the ratios of 79.19, 24.13, and 68.12 were on the top of the list of countries that have sent immigrants to the world. On the other hand, Qatar and Luxemburg with the ratios of 39.22 and 16.17 were at the top of the list of countries that have accepted immigrants.

In this report, the immigration rate of Iran was reduced from 08.0 to 07.7, compared to 2015, and level of sending immigrants of Saudi Arabia was reported to be 55.0 (about eight times more than Iran).
